True Holiday Meaning

At this time of year, it pays to reflect on what the true meaning of the holidays is.  I know it sounds trite, but it isn't the commercial aspect, nor the celebrations, nor the gifts, but rather giving thanks (and not just on Thanksgiving!).  We had the wonderful opportunity to invite a young local family over for Thanksgiving (one we did not know, had never met, and was worse off than us), as well as having a great friend join us who was stuck in town due to work.  It was probably one of the...

Two Weeks To Go

With only two weeks to go until Christmas, I start to wonder which person will awake on Christmas morning- Scrooge or the reformed Scrooge?  With all of the trials and tribulations of 2013, one might think that only the real Scrooge is the possible answer.  However, right now my outlook is that of hope, charity, and thanks.  So at this point, reformed Scrooge is looking like a sure bet- and long overdue.  I wish the best to all for the remainder of the year.

Christmas Morning Here We Come!

Just a quick thought- Don't only have hope for oneself, but hope for others.  Spread wealth, even when you don't have it and be ever grateful for what you do have (and not just possessions).

Think how your actions will affect others, both negatively and positively and act accordingly.  Karma has a long memory........................

Build on What Happend in 2013

I hope and trust that all had a great Christmas, lots of merriment and hopefully giving thanks.  As the new year approaches, remember to build on your experiences of the past year- be they good or bad.  All one experiences in life helps to mould the person they become.  It is up to us to shape things positively, so we may reflect on all experiences as beneficial.
